Objective of the Craft Instructor Training Instructors in the techniques of transferring hands-on skills, in order to train semi-skilled / skilled manpower for industry. Structure of training programme is such that comprehensive training both in skill development and training methodology is imparted to the trainees.The trained craft instructor will train the trainees of Industrial Training Institutes across the country, for developing them as semi-skilled / skilled work force for industry or as entrepreneurs. Under this CITS programme, Instructors from Government and Private ITIs Centers, established by industries under the Apprentices Act and private candidates aspiring the career as craft instructors are provided training. Training is being offered in the following engineering trades

Objective of the Craft Instructor Training The Craftsmen Training Scheme (CTS) was introduced by the Government of India in year 1950 to ensure a steady flow of skilled workers in different trades for the domestic industry, to raise quantitatively and qualitatively the industrial production by systematic training, to reduce unemployment among the educated youth by providing them employable skills, to cultivate and nurture a technical and industrial attitude in the minds of younger generation. The Scheme is the most important in the field of Vocational Training, has been shaping craftsmen to meet the existing as well as future manpower need.

SELECTION OF CITS: Admission is offered in August, through an All India Common Entrance Test which is held in June, notified in nimionlineadmission.in

Eligibility for Admission to CITS Program: NTC/NAC/ Diploma/Degree in relevant branch of Engineering. This course is of 1 year duration.

SELECTION OF CTS: Admission is offered in May/June, through advertisement in leading newspapers and in this website

Eligibility for Admission to CTS Program: Pass in SSLC, Minimum 14 years of age
