Objective of the Craft Instructor Training Instructors in the techniques of transferring hands-on skills, in order to train semi-skilled / skilled manpower for industry. Structure of training programme is such that comprehensive training both in skill development and training methodology is imparted to the trainees.The trained craft instructor will train the trainees of Industrial Training Institutes across the country, for developing them as semi-skilled / skilled work force for industry or as entrepreneurs. Under this CITS programme, Instructors from Government and Private ITIs Centers, established by industries under the Apprentices Act and private candidates aspiring the career as craft instructors are provided training. Training is being offered in the following three engineering trades

SELECTION: Admission is offered in August, through an All India Common Entrance Test which is held in June.

Eligibility for Admission to CITS Program: NTC/NAC/ Diploma/Degree in relevant branch of Engineering
This course is of 1 year duration, with 2 semesters of 6 months

Subjects: 1) Trade Technology -1 (TT1) which is Trade specific, 2) Engineering Drawing and 3) Workshop Calculation and Science.
Subjects: 1) Trade Technology -2 (TT2) which is Trade specific and 2) Training Methodology (TM) - Common for all trades.
